Imago is the last stage an insect attains during its metamorphosis, emerging in it’s fully mature form and showing the world it’s full beauty. The name seemed fitting for a rage inspired by the incredible luna moth. The embroidery features funky, modern flowers mixed with some traditional lace motifs as well as metallic stars and moons. They take you to a whimsical midnight garden, where flowers bloom in the moonlight. Imago is my first bespoke embroidery range – a bit different than my other collections, but keeping the essence of the feminine and the ethereal.
The embroidery is done with a viscose thread, not polyester, giving a soft, shiny and more eco friendly finish to the design. Some flowers have glass beading sewn on by hand. The final touch is a labladorite crystal in the centre, adding that bit of iridescent shimmer.
The back features fully adjustable straps in a beautiful celadon/mint green shade , giving you flexibility between band sizing.
